Grandma, I love my balloons, but please no pictures!

So I put these pictures in the opposite order than what I meant...so try to follow!!! November 20, 2009 will forever be a very special date, Olivia Nanette Giles is officially our daughter! Yes, the adoption is finally FINAL!!! We could not be happier.

We are so grateful to all our friends and family that were able to attend court with us. My mom and dad, Bob's mom and dad, Aunt Sueann, April, Lacey, Carter, Christine, and Samantha. I hope they all know how much it meant to us. We love you all very much!

Grandma Bawden brought party hats, noise makers, and balloons! Three of Olivia's favorite things! Thanks Mom!

I don not think I stopped smiling all day long and still feel like smiling all the time!!!

The Judge was so amazing! We just loved him! After court was done he had all the children stay up front, including Olivia, he said he needed to talk to them. He told them that today was a very special day. For today only they could eat anything they want and as much as they want. Also there will be NO bedtime today! Of course the kids loved this!

When we first got into the courtroom the Judge said, "Let me tell you the rules for taking pictures, there are no rules! Take pictures wherever and whenever. You can walk behind me, I promise the Deputy won't attack you!" It was so great!

Olivia was just not sure what was going on! She looks a little concerned!

Water works by me...of course!!! The judge said such amazing things. He said that, "Olivia will be your daughter, as if she was born to you". Wow, I just love that!

Swearing in.

Thankfully, Grandma Giles brought "Smartys" candy for Olivia. It kept her happy while the judge was talking to us!

On the document that Bob and I signed, there is a place for the child to sign if they are over 11 years old. The Judge said that Olivia could scribble her signature there. So Olivia made her mark! What an amazing day and what a miracle and a blessing Olivia is to Bob and I. We lover her so much. she is our daughter, as if she was born to us!!!

November 15th 2008 was National Adoption Day and the day that Jake and Briana were officialy part of the Anderson family. We got them in July 2008 and we were supposed to wait 6 months to finalize the adoption but I talked CPS into let us do it early. The kids caseworker was young and dared to ask "what if you change your mind"? Thankfully we had a great caseworker who helped us get everything worked out! It was nice to know that they were now ours! It was even better when they were sealed to us on September 6th 2009 in the Dallas Temple! Now we are a forever family!
